“We’ve all been there—standing in the kitchen after a particularly challenging day, wondering how the parent we meant to be got lost somewhere between the school run and bedtime battles.
I’m Louise Brooks — a Danish parenting coach and family advisor, now based in Surrey, where I live with my English husband, our two children, and our lovely dogs, Bowie and Betty. With a background in Psychology and over a decade of experience supporting families, I specialise in helping parents bridge the gap between the parent they want to be and the automatic reactions that can take over in the chaos of daily life.
As the host of the Curious Not Furious podcast, I believe curiosity is one of the most powerful tools we have — in parenting, and in life. My approach is grounded in evidence-based child psychology and relational models that help parents move from reactive to responsive, creating calmer homes and stronger connections with their children.
I support families with everything from sibling dynamics and building self-esteem, to creating respectful, sustainable leadership at home. My work is always practical, compassionate, and tailored to your family’s unique needs.
Alongside 1:1 coaching (offered both online and in-person), I also run popular Walk and Talk sessions that combine movement and coaching outdoors, and deliver workshops for schools and organisations. I’ve also created specialised courses for Home Start, with a focus on supporting families raising neurodivergent children.
Warm, grounded, and realistic about the messiness of modern parenting, I’m here to help you parent with more confidence, more calm — and a whole lot more connection.
Ready to transform those challenging moments into opportunities for deeper connection? Let’s explore how curiosity can change everything for your family.
